HOW IT WORKS

Once your request has been received, we’ll set up a virtual consultation. our complimentary consultations are one-on-one sessions with our designer, Eileen Wilson.

60 min virtual meeting

this is where your windy haven journey begins! We start by getting to know you, the bride. Once we’ve gathered your ideas, we’ll start to sketch and discuss fabrics, embellishments, and more.

(1 - 3 hours virtual meeting)

once the direction of your dress is finalized, you will receive a welcome package. If you do not know how to properly measure yourself, we can meet virtually and walk through it together. over the following month, we will keep in touch to solidify the final direction of your dress.

1-month process, with 2-3 virtual meetings

the design has been finalized and we begin to put the dress into a 3-d mock-up. you will get to see the silhouette on your body and address any fit concerns to make sure you are completely comfortable. This is our time to experiment with any ideas or changes to the overall design.

3 months, 3-5 in-person fittings

Your dress has been constructed in the actual fabric and fits perfectly to you. in this phase we begin to embellish the dress and make any refinements.

3 months, 3-5 in-person fittings,
*no major design changes can be made past this point.

the final stage before reveal/delivery. shoes and undergarments need to be decided on at this point so we can hem and bustle your dress accurately.

(3 months, 2-4 in-person meetings)

when making a custom wedding dress, brides often lose their “say yes” moment and we don’t want that. when your dress is ready for final delivery, we offer a reveal party with champagne for you and your loved ones. You’ll don your beautiful custom wedding dress and take it home with you that day in a beautiful box, garment bag, and a farewell gift. you can also opt to simply pick up the dress or have it delivered.
